MY FIRST INTERNATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT!

Sumpah, aku lagi bahagia banget. Jadi bulan lalu kan aku dapet job presentasi banyak banget. Maklumlah kan ada International Education Week. Ada lomba yang diselenggarakan konsorsium AFS buat anak - anak yang paling banyak ngelakuin presentasi, baik dalam bentuk grup dan dalam bentuk individual.
DAN AKU MENANG.
Hahaha sumpah epic abis!

The reports are in, the presentations have been counted, and the results have been tabulated!

This year was a record-smashing year for the International Education Week Contest.  Throughout the month of November, students across the U.S. worked tirelessly to tell their friends, neighbors, peers, adults, and classes about their home countries, cultures, and exchange programs. For the past 5 years, the Sponsored Programs Department has conducted the International Education Week contest, and each year, the presentation count grows larger as Sponsored Programs students nationwide strive to do more to let their communities know about themselves and compete to win an opportunity to attend the Better Understanding for a Better World Interfaith and Leadership Conference (BUBW).
Last year, our presentation count totaled 1891 presentations, our highest total yet, reaching an audience of approximately 55,000 people. It was easily the most successful IEW contest on record. It was an amazing feat to accomplish, and we were amazed at the fortitude and effort put forth by everyone involved.
This year, after a somewhat modest start, we watched in total awe as our SurveyMonkey tally rocketed toward astonishing figures.
However, none of us expected the results we received.
With 180 students reporting on SurveyMonkey, our presentation report total this year is 2729 presentations, reaching an audience of over 67,000 people!
This far surpasses last year's presentation and audience totals! So, whether your cluster won an opportunity to travel to BUBW or not, all of your cluster students deserve a hearty round of applause and congratulations for their efforts.  The impact of these presentations is well worth the time and effort invested by these young ambassadors.

Now, without further ado, I present the top four clusters and winners of the IEW Contest!
[As a reminder, the winners are selected by highest average number of presentations per student in a fully participating cluster.]

Orlando BUBW
With a whopping average of 85 presentations per student, our first place cluster is Argyle Cluster of the World Flags Area Team!
In 2nd place with an impressive average of 82 presentations is the Northwoods Gateway!
San Diego BUBW
In 3rd place, with a very strong showing of 40 presentations per student -- Western NY!
Baltimore BUBW
In 4th Place -- with an average of 36 presentations per student, Northern Illinois Area Team!
We would also like to acknowledge four individual students who had an outstanding number of presentations, but were not part of a winning team.  The students will receive an invitation to attend one of the BUBW conferences.  And now, the names of these four students with an impressive number of presentations:

Risqika Achsan from Indonesia, 77 presentations, from World Class Area Team

(sensor) from Azerbaijan, 57 presentations, from World Flags Area Team (Non-Argyle Cluster)
(sensor lagi) from Pakistan, 55 presentations, from World Flags Area Team (Non-Argyle Cluster)
(sensor lagi ya. hahaha) from Turkey, 51 presentations, from World Flags Area Team (Non-Argyle Cluster)
We will be contacting winning clusters for instruction regarding BUBW arrangements.  In addition, the cluster coordinators for the individual students listed above will be contacted regarding BUBW arrangements.
Once again, congratulations to all involved in the IEW contest, and a very sincere THANK YOU for all your amazing efforts in making it the most successful IEW endeavor EVER!
